Reduce consumption of food that has high level of purines
Purines are organic compounds that contribute to uric acid formation. So cutting down food with high purines will greatly reduce uric acid level in the body. Here’s the food that contain high level of purines: asparagus, anchovies, herring, meat gravies and broth, mussels, mushroom, sardines and sweet breads.
